Welcome to the Austin School of Fashion Design
Our Philosophy
When considering the curriculum for our school, we wanted to create a professional and unique fashion design program for adults of all ages and backgrounds by offering all of the basica beginner Sewing Classes, Draping, Flat Pattern, Illustration, and expanding to specialized classes for the advanced student. Whether you're a novice or seasoned designer, our goal is to enrich your understanding of the techniques used in the fashion industry as well as to provide an in-depth and hands-on examination of the skill set required to design and create your own garments.
We want the school to be a learning experience motivated by the student's desire to learn. Several of our students have already started their own collections and are now carried in stores all over the country, which shows what a motivated student can do! Another of our past students, Julia Plume, won the Top Designer In Texas Competition.
Please Note: This is not a degree program. Students do not need to pass an admission test to enroll in our classes. There are no tests, grades or credits given. Our school is open to all. It is not part of the Austin School District or any state owned schools, therefore, there are no financial aid programs and no government assistance provided. All students are accepted. Tuition balance must be paid in advance of the first class in order to reserve your registration. Thank you.
